About
ThunderHub is an open-source web manager for Lightning nodes, aimed at operators who want depth rather than just a balance and a send button. It connects to the LND on your MyNode and puts the whole node in one browser interface.
Monitoring is where it stands out. Alongside Lightning and on-chain balances it graphs payments, invoices, and forwarded routes over time, exposes the fee policies on every channel, and keeps full transaction history and network information available — which together make it clear where your node earns and where capital is sitting idle.
Channel operations are thorough. Open and close channels, update fees across many channels at once instead of one at a time, run circular rebalances to correct lopsided channels, and manage channel backups. Payments cover both Lightning and on-chain, with LNURL support and message signing.
Security gets real attention, which matters for a web interface with full authority over a funded node. It supports time-based two-factor authentication, hashed passwords, encrypted macaroons, and AES-256-GCM encryption for stored credentials, so exposing the interface is a considered decision rather than a gamble.
Newer releases extend into Taproot Assets — minting, burning, and transferring assets, with per-channel asset balances and universe synchronization — along with Magma RFQ trading for buying and selling them.
